Program Withdrawal

Withdrawal by an admitted student who has paid a deposit (applicable to month-long programs only) must be in writing by emailing ArchaeoPLUS at admin@archaeoplus.org before the program fees payment deadline listed on the project’s page. Withdrawing students are requested to notify ArchaeoPLUS at the earliest possible time so that another student wishing to participate in the field school has the opportunity to enroll. Please note that the deposit is nonrefundable.

For month-long projects that are subsidized by a partner organization (no associated deposit, programs where full payment is due within 14 days of acceptance), a 14 day grace period will go into effect following your payment date where you can receive a full refund. Following that date, all fees are 50% refundable until the project’s registration deadline because payments on behalf of the student are made well in advance of the project.

Late Withdrawal: ArchaeoPLUS makes payments on students’ behalf well in advance of a program’s start date. Therefore, no refunds will be made for withdrawals (for any reason) after the program fees payment deadline. Admitted and deposited students are responsible for remaining balances, including all unpaid program fees, if not withdrawn in writing before the program fees payment deadline.

For all workshops (projects less than a month long) the fees are 50% refundable until the registration deadline listed on the project’s page—after the registration deadline, no refunds will be made for withdrawals or cancellations (for any reason).

Program Cancellation

In the event that a field school is canceled, all enrolled students will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a refund of all program fees, including the deposit fee. ArchaeoPLUS may offer students the opportunity to transfer to another field school or workshop, on a space available basis.

Arbitration

Any disputes regarding the above between ArchaeoPLUS and an admitted student that cannot be amicably resolved will be governed by Alabama law and heard exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction within Madison County, Alabama.
