How to Apply

Connect with your Home Institution, whether through your study abroad office or academic advisor, to explore their guidelines on credit transfer, financial aid, and any potential internal summer stipends or scholarships. They're there to assist you!

Take a moment to understand the eligibility criteria for both A+ and the specific project you're interested in. We want to make sure you're set up for success.

Engage in open conversations about your plans with your support network – your family, friends, professors, mentors, and employers. Their insights and encouragement can be invaluable.

Follow the straightforward instructions and submit your application on the dedicated project page. Keep in mind that some field schools may require a reference, letter of recommendation, or even an interview with the field school director(s). Don't worry; we're here to guide you through the process!

Upon completing your application, our dedicated field school directors will review it. Once accepted to your chosen field school, secure your spot by paying a $500 non-refundable deposit. For programs lasting less than a week, automatic acceptance awaits upon application processing and payment.

Act swiftly as programs close when they reach capacity, following a first-come, first-serve basis. Ensure timely payment of your program fees as indicated on your program page. Respond promptly to additional program forms and requirements communicated via email.

Participate in A+ general and program-specific field school orientations, with dates shared via email. As the project approaches, get ready for your field experience by arranging transportation, acquiring necessary equipment (don't worry, we'll provide a helpful packing list), and sending your travel itinerary to the field school directors before your arrival.

And then, you're all set to embark on your exciting field school journey!
